I've Made a Huge Mistake
1. I have been re-watching Arrested Development. It's so good that whenever I try and talk about it, my mouth just moves in strange shapes and odd noises come out until I'm a giggling mess on the floor. One of the running jokes in the show is whenever one of the characters does something incredibly and irreversibly stupid, we get a close up on their face and they say "I've made a huge mistake." (I know it's not funny when I write it - just watch it, please? And I promise I have a point...)
2. I've made a huge mistake. Two, actually. Nothing life threatening, but definitely worthy of head-ramming-into-wall. Last week I received an email from a director about a callback audition (Yipee!) She had wanted to talk to me on the phone but my telephone number on my resume was MISSING A DIGIT. How many times have I checked that? Feels like 10 billion. And it was still wrong. eeeeffffffffff. Lesson: Go check your contact info on your resume. Now.
Part Deux: I was just on Actors Access and thought "Hey! I get to update my film credits now that "Percival" is done. Schweeet.
So you can imagine my surprise when I went to "manage my profile" and found that the resume on display was old. Like, 4 YEARS old. SCHWAT?! Embarrassing. Mortifying. No wonder no one on the planet would want me to come audition for them. Ever.
Lesson: Go update your resumes now. Even if you think you just did that.
'Scuse me while I go scream in the shower.
