I've Only Come to One Stop On The Line

Things I accomplished over the last 3 days:Dom 4

-Won the Next to Normal Lottery

-Did Laundry

-Quit my job.

The latter was quite difficult to do. I work in 2 restaurants and it just wasn't working out. I didn't go to school to be a hostess, so why was I spending almost 40 hours a week focusing on seating people in a restaurant?

I got an opportunity to start babysitting. So I took it. And I'm really happy I did it. Today I was shadowing their mother at the school and the route they take to get home. I was so happy to be surrounded by all these silly, playful kids. And I'll have my mornings and evenings free to audition and rehearse for any and all shows that come my way.

The same day I quit I got called in for an audition on Wednesday and so I celebrated. I bought a bottle of cabernet sauvignon and indulged in fried chicken and corn on the cob.

It takes a leap of faith to quit your job. I felt pangs of guilt and worry. Was I making the right decision. I still don't know. One thing I do know is that if you dread going to work, it's probably not the best environment to be in.

So that's that!
