Scroll for Thought

The scrollmaster and I I was walking around town the other day. Wait! What else are you going to do, it’s New York! Everyone walks around town!

Anyways, I was walking around town the other day and I stumbled upon a well-dressed young man who was holding out a tray of individually wrapped scrolls; some red, some white.

“Is this free? What is this?” I asked. Honestly, some of my lunches in the city are literally made up of food samples from restaurants I walk by while running errands.

Kim, the young male artist replied,

"No, it’s not free, the price is $3.00 for one, but whichever one you pick says exactly what you are supposed to hear right now in your life.”

Wow; an artist handing out life epiphanies hand written in the middle of Union Square, standing for the greatness of complete strangers. I was impressed. Who hands out timely wisdom anymore these days?

Do we ever stop to wonder if society’s self-esteem as a whole needs nurturing as well?

This is what the scroll I chose said,Scroll

“Greetings* No one knows everything; yet everyone knows something! Yes, that includes you as well my love. Inside of you there is a unique gift and ability that only you can and should share with this planet. This makes you equal to any and everyone in the entire world. Cherish and acknowledge this to the fullest. Please do share yourself. We need it! I support you. Be well.”

And I betcha he’s still in high school..

That's so fun! I actually receive the same kind of cheerful wisdom in my email, notes from the Universe by Mike Dolley. The link to subscribe is here: http://www.tut.com/theclub/

I also have a scroll from Kim Fenex. I was fortunate enough to run into him at the Dumbo Arts Fest. I love my scroll and it was just the thing I needed to hear at that time. The scrolls are awesome and I think it's so fantastic that Kim Fenex does this.
