Birthdays and transitions

MV5BMjE3NzA1MjU2Nl5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMDEyMTU4Mg@@._V1._CR132,0,340,340_SS80_ Birthday week is upon us! Yes, I say us because I consider it a National Week of Observance and Celebration. As always, this is the time to look back at 24 and see what 25 will be bringing with it.

1 Short Film (lead), 1 Feature Length Film (lead), 1 Produced Play, 3 Roles on stage (1 Lead, 2 equity productions), SAG eligible, AEA eligible, Happy, almost healthy again (recovering from brutal wrist accident). All in all its been a wonderful year that has really laid the groundwork for the next one, which will include: turning SAG, turning equity and making a move to New York. wow, the last few years have flown.

Over at Fedra (my current show at Lookingglass, buy your tickets now), we are really settling into things. We have gotten to the point where we are so comfortable with the show that we have really begun to play and explore and discover. The scenes almost feel like jazz: riffing and flowing with each other instead of being chained to the melody. It's rather beautiful. I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday week.

Happy 25th birthday! I had my 25th birthday this week, too! So I'm guessing that, like me (and like Tom Penketh) you're between Libra and Scorpio, on what is called "The Cusp of Drama and Criticism". Very appropriate for theatre people, I think. :)
