IMDB Stalking = Agent Meeting
Back on the agent prowl. I feel like a half-maimed cougar who's had too much brandy, attempting to navigate the forest slightly intoxicated. "Heeere... (burp) deerrr... c'meeeere (burp burp) deeeer..."
Okay, a little wacky tonight, I apologize. Thank goodness for Fabulous Manager, who's leading the path with her oil light of genie amazingness and setting up meetings on both coasts. (Not really) delightfully, I have to go down to Florida for six days as soon as we begin hunting... but, eh, what can a week hurt. Two meetings in L.A. toward the end of September, as well one in New York when I get back next week. Interestingly, the Manhattan office contacted her. That's never happened before.
IMDB. The monster that I've been fighting my credits for since I got into this delightful industry (finally-finally got We Own the Night up there, after nearly two years of attempt). An agent was looking at my manager's roster, and happened to click on my IMDB. He inquired. She pitched. And all of a sudden, via the harassment of Amazon's entertainment brainchild, we have a meeting.
Funny how things work. Harder than crap sometimes to get your credits / films on it -- and sometimes ridiculously easy to trick it to put up wrong credits -- but if you haven't done your homework on getting stuff up, do it. Never know who's lookin'.

Hey Ashley,
I am finding it nearly impossible to get my credits up on IMDB too. It's IS a huge challenge, at times, and completely maddening. Perhaps I need to enhance my IMDB stalking ways? LOL

Hey Stacey!
I tried for nearly two years to get my We Own the Night credit up... Scanned SAG contract, sent them a link to screenshots... And nothing happened. Finally, I asked my manager to try to do something, and upon her submission the credit was up within a week.
What's frustrating is that I have actor friends who FAKE credits and get them approved!! Bah!
So I say... if you can ask your agent to do it, it might make the difference. :). Good luck!
Ashley
