So Long, Farewell...
(My all-time favorite musical.)
Some of you may know, I have been blogging at "Living Truthfully" (my own personal blog spot) since 2005. When I started blogging here at "Backstage: Unscripted" the amount of time spent on at "Living Truthfully" declined sharply (as the Backstage editor warned me that they might). I have recently made the decision to devote more attention to my own personal blog, and so this will be my last blog post here at Backstage "Unscripted."
Blogging here for the past year (plus) and connecting with you all has been a great experience. My goal was to share my journey in order to educate and inspire others, and in return, I found myself unexpectedly encouraged and supported. "Thank you" to each and every one of you who has taken the time to comment or email me personally. I appreciate each and every keystroke.
I wish you all the best in your lives and your careers. You are all welcome to keep in touch via my blog, my website, my twitter feed... heck, all sorts of ways! But, if you never read another word that I write, I would like to leave you with the following admonitions:
- Be true.
- Be kind.
- Focus on the value instead of the cost.
- Feel the fear and do it anyway.
and of course:
- Ride life until the wheels fall off (then figure out a NEW way to get around)!
I intend to take a brief hiatus, and then I can be found at my personal blog, and, (of course) on TV! I'll be on "Southland" next Thursday, May 7! (My episode is entitled "Two Gangs.")
"Goodnight, you princes[ses] of Maine, you kings [and queens] of New England." --Dr. Wilbur Larch, "Cider House Rules"
I wish you joy.
Good luck, Nicole. It's been a real pleasure getting to know you. I hope to see you more and more on my television - and maybe... who knows... our paths may cross either personally or professionally. I hope they do.
All the best!

Wow, some of those Von Trapp kids really look like the ones who were in the movie!! Good casting. :)
Sorry to see you go, but you gotta do what you gotta do and go from there. You seem to be figuring it all out quite well so far! It's been great reading your posts here and I'll be sure to check those other sites to see what you're up to as time goes by. All best to you!

Oh, Nicole - I'm sorry to see you leave Backstage. It's been really wonderful to read about your process, your success and your outlook on the business & life. Those are very thoughtful parting words, and I wish you much continued success.

Aww booo. It has been such a pleasure reading your blog here, as I'm sure it will be reading your personal blog. You've definitely inspired me with your journey. This is not goodbye, but hello! I'm going to be seeing a lot more of you. :)

Aw, Nicole, thank you so much for sharing. Your writing was a huge help for me during my move to LA, whether you knew it or not, and I look forward to reading about more of your adventures in the future. (Or...in person? gasp!) Good luck with everything! -teresa
