I'm Still In The Picture!
I have received about 6 revised scripts for my upcoming "Legally Mad" shoot. This is my first pilot, so maybe this is normal, but it's actually kinda funny. I haven't read the whole script yet, but I did thumb through the first one to see if I appeared in any additional scenes. (Nope, just the one.) Everytime I get a new version of the script, I flip to the page where my character appeared in the one before.
I have no lines - just a funny "moment." That "moment" was cut in half between the first and second revisions - since then the axe has missed me...so far. There are five more days before I shoot, and that means five more days for the axe to fall. Then I'll have to hope that my "moment" will make it into the actual pilot. But for now, let's just get to the actual shoot without becoming a casualty, shall we?
I had my fitting on Thursday - it had been a while since I had seen The Fabulous Loree Parral (no, she doesn't know I refer to her as such), costumer extraordinaire, and it was great to see her and catch up on what's been happening since "Boston Legal". She had a whole rack of items for me to try - I tried on exactly two tops and one (quite form-fitting) skirt before we found the perfect outfit. And it's GREEN - one of my least-favorite colors, but somehow I look fabulous in it. Thanks again Loree. Just please don't forget the Spanx or my "moment" will turn into something else entirely.
Yesterday was my last official day working on the NAACP Image Awards. I came home and updated my website (check it out when you have time and email me if you find any glitches). Today I got out of bed around 1:30PM and did N-O-T-H-I-N-G all day. It's been great. I'm lying on the couch, looking at my junky living room & watching "King of Queens" as I type. I love this show. Tomorrow I will update my resumes again so that I can drop them off on Monday morning, then I will prepare for my "Nip/ Tuck" audition.
Right now I'm going to find some dinner.
