Audition Tapes : Tired of Waiting, Made My Own STUDIO
As of this afternoon "slash" this evening, I have embarked on a wild (slightly absurd) adventure.
I told my Visa APR screw it, drank a bunch of coffee, and trotted over to Calumet Photographic to collect the materials needed for... my own let's-go-on-tape-NOW studio.
You see... I have a second bedroom in my live/work apartment. Due to an absolute divine intervention experience after I got kicked out of my last place (they were "renovating"... personally I think it was my Musical Theatre belting), I have a lovely kind-of-affordable two-bedroom that I work out of between Gramercy and Murray Hill. Gramercy Hill, as I like to call it (it's the one little piece of Manhattan that isn't actually named. Weird).
Thus... I've decided to spawn off a side portion of my actor webdesign business and do actor audition tapes. But I needed a studio. So... today... I made one.
The original intent of all this was just to get flippin' camera so I could put my own auditions on tape. Oie.
However... without further ado, I'm including the audition video of my very first client (and very good friend of mine), who I put on tape this evening. I'm very, very excited.
I feel like I have to be creative... somehow... all the time. And I may have just found a new outlet. Woo hoo!

That was great! Nice work on both ends.. I feel like I have seen that Actor in a film or commercial? He's amazingly funny.

that's too funny! He's great.. How much do sessions normally cost, I have been charged 125 for an hour which includes the dvd and prep time. Am I getting ripped off or is that reasonable?
