Quiche & Paste
Someone will ask me a question, and lately I’ve been finding myself saying, “Oh I just blogged about that,” as if that’s an answer. Like by saying “Oh I just blogged about that,” I don’t need to say anymore. Boy, what a conversationalist I’m becoming.
A: “How’d those auditions go?”
B: “Oh I just blogged about them.”
At least good friends call me on it…
A: “Yeah and... So, how’d they go?”
I wonder what would happen if I blogged about relationships.
C: “So honey, how was your day?”
D: ”Oh I just blogged about it.”
C: “Oh. Okay. Well, I kinda want to talk. About us. You know with words.”
D: “Blogged about that too.”
C: “God! I don’t think I can live like this anymore.”
D: “Read the blog. It’s all in there.”
C: “What are you saying?”
D: “It’s all in the blog baby. It’s in the blog. Comment on the bottom. I’ll get back to you.”
I am certainly not this blog, and this blog is certainly not me but sometimes it can feel like it. I’ll experience something, and I’ll think, “Oh, that’d be a good blog.” It’s weird isn’t it? Course in my defense when someone asks about something, via email, after I just spent a while on writing about it, it seems like an enormous waste of time to type it all over again to that person… And it would feel like I’m lying if I just cut and paste the same words, and not let them know that, I just blogged about it.
